Green "Slime" Punch!

We needed a Green Punch for Grandson Noah's Minecraft Birthday Party, and here's my unique concoction! Noah describes it as, "like, Yum!" This tart, full-bodied punch, is delicious for holidays, birthdays, and other events!

Noah wanted to make Green "Slime" Punch for his birthday party, but his experimental idea "jelled". (Sorry, Noah) I came up with this recipe, and everyone loved it, adults as well as kids! It's not too sweet, so it's great with food and desserts. Enjoy!!

p.s. It's not really "Slime"! Just don't tell the kids!

Green "Slime" Punch

The night before the party:

In a large pitcher or bowl, mix:
  • Jolly Rancher Green Apple Singles To Go (6-count), and
  • 2 quarts of water
Pour about 1/3 of this mixture into ice cube trays and/or small freezer-safe bowls. Freeze overnight.

Chill the remainder of the Jolly Rancher Green Apple solution, along with the pineapple juice and ginger ale.

The night before or several hours before party time:

Mix:

  • 2-3 ounce Lime Jello with
  • 2 cups boiling water

Stir 2 minutes until dissolved. Add:
  • 4 cups cold water, and stir well.

Add:
  • 46 ounce pineapple juice, and
  • (the remaining) Jolly Rancher Green Apple solution

At serving time, pour the jello-juice mixture into a large bowl or dispenser. Add
  • 2-liter bottle Ginger Ale, and the
  • Jolly Rancher "Green Apple Ice" (made the night before)
Get ready for the compliments!

Ms. Nancy's Note: Before I added the punch, I cut and taped black construction paper to the container to resemble "Creeper".

Ms. Nancy's Additional Notes:

  • This punch was a hit at the Minecraft Party. Everyone loved it!
  • This recipe may be made a day ahead and stored in the refrigerator. Just add the ginger ale at serving time.
