Are you looking for something to do in the Washington, D.C., area? The Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum in Chantilly, Virginia, is an awesome place to go! Enjoy the photos of our visit to this kid-friendly facility which has something for everyone to enjoy!

What can you do in the Washington, D.C. area on a snowy day? I recently visited the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum with son Joshua and grandson Lucas, and we had an awesome time! Be sure and put this on your "Bucket List"!

We left early to get a good parking spot.

Almost there...

...we've arrived!!

Admission is free!

There is no charge for admission. Parking is $15.00 before 4:00 p.m.; after 4:00 p.m., parking is free.

Tours are available, but we did our own tour. As we walked in, we were amazed by the sight - airplanes everywhere!!

Grandson Lucas is a Planes fan, so he is very excited!

The detailed descriptions and pictures of the airplanes help visitors gain a wealth of knowledge!

I believe I can fly!!

Observe the aircrafts being restored.
